Derek L. Robinson Jr.

Derek Lane Robinson Jr., 39, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 2, 2026. A beloved son, husband, father, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend, Derek was known for his vibrant personality and love of life. He was an avid drummer, passionate about cooking, and enjoyed collecting toys and watching wrestling. His great sense of humor brought joy to those around him. Derek cherished creating memories with his son Zayne, sharing his love for music by playing the guitar and drums and attending concerts together.

Born on February 17, 1987, in Louisville to Derek and Lisa Robinson, he is preceded in death by his father, Derek Lane Robinson Sr., and grandparents Donald Robinson, James Buck, and Frances Buck.

He leaves behind his loving mother, Lisa Buck; fiancée, Sarah Dean; son, Zayne Dean; sister, Faith (Chris) Robinson-Wochaski; bonus mom, Anita Kemp; grandmother, Shirley Robinson; and numerous extended family and friends who will forever hold his fun-loving spirit in their hearts.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on September 18, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 4:00 pm at the same location.
