Dennis "Stewy" Stewart , 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019. Dennis was a retired Jefferson County Police Officer. He served as a Kentucky State Trooper for four years. Dennis served his country in the United States Marine Corps earning the rank of an E-5 Sergeant. He earned a degree in Aviation Mechanics. Dennis was a 32 degree Scottish Rite of Free Mason, and donated his time to the Kosair Shriners here in Louisville, KY.

He was born on March 28, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to Elvie Stewart and Agnes (Ragland) Geary. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Bonnie Stewart, Father, Elvie Ray Stewart, Brothers, Robert Morton and Wayne Stewart.

Dennis is survived by his Daughter, Deana (Dennis) Gore, Mother, Agnes (Jimmy) Geary, Step-Sisters, Lynn (Gary) Fisher, and Pam (Jim) Booher, Step-Brother, James (Debbie) Geary, Jr., Nephews, Aaron (Ashley) Morton, Zack (Heather) Morton, and Eddie Warren, Uncle, Belano (Nola) Ragland.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions- Southwest Chapel, (10304 Dixie Highway). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel with Burial and Military Honors to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central).
