Dennis Ray Moel, 85, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and a lifelong love of learning.
Dennis was a devoted father to his children, Joanna (Mac), John David (Alison), and Joshua (Lydia). His greatest joy was his family, and he was lovingly known as "Zayde" to his twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson. His grandchildren brought immeasurable happiness to his life, and he treasured every opportunity to teach, encourage, and simply spend time with them.
A man of deep faith, Dennis was a believer who devoted his life to serving God and living according to his convictions. He faithfully passed those values on to his children and grandchildren, encouraging them to live lives of integrity, compassion, and purpose. He also instilled in his family a deep appreciation for their Jewish heritage, ensuring that future generations would know and honor their roots.
Dennis had an insatiable curiosity and a passion for history. He loved studying the past, sharing stories, and engaging others in thoughtful conversation. Whether discussing historical events or family traditions, he had a remarkable ability to make history come alive.
He never met a stranger. Dennis had a gift for making people feel welcome, often striking up conversations wherever he went. His warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in others created friendships that spanned generations.
Though his family mourns his passing, they find comfort in the memories he created, the values he imparted, and the faith that sustained him throughout his life. His love, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to his family will continue to guide those who knew and loved him.
Dennis will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
