Dennis W. Hockman

Dennis W. Hockman, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Dennis was devoted to his family and loved to spend time with them. He traveled around the country with his family to attend different sporting events. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 22 years of service. He owned 1638 Auto Sales where he continued his passion to rebuild cars. He has been a faithful member of South East Christian Church for 13 years and was a member of the Journey Bible Study Class for 7 years.

He was born on June 22, 1938 in Battletown, Kentucky to Theodore and Lillie Hockman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore R. Hockman and Lillie E. Hockman; siblings, Curtis Hockman, Henry Hockman, Juanita Meeks, and Sylvia Humphrey.

Dennis is survived by his loving Wife of 62 years, Barbara A. Hockman; sons, Kevin R. (Teresa) Hockman and Timothy A. (Gena) Hockman; grandchildren, Kristi (Derek) Mattingly, Brian (Holly) Hockman, Aaron Hockman, and Josie Hockman; great-grandchildren, Noah Hockman, Lily Hockman, Emma Mattingly, and Myles Mattingly; sisters, Faye Sedoris and Francis (Benny) Brunner; Brother-In-Laws, Willard (Wanda) Brown and Tony Heun. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Cap Anderson Cemetery in Brandenburg, Kentucky.
