Dennis Wayne Griffee

February 3, 1960 — June 30, 2020

Dennis Wayne "D." Griffee, 60, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. D. was a member of the General Assembly Church of the First Born and the Nashville Songwriters Association. He loved being with his family above all things and was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. D. loved working within his ministry and as a musician, songwriter, and performer. He will be remembered as a man who was as wise as a serpent, harmless as a dove, and who spoke with authority and humility from above.

He was born on February 3, 1960 in Corydon, Indiana to Edward and Donna (Kopp) Griffee.

Along with his parents, D. is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Griffee; children, Angela Harshey, Jeremiah (Annie Barnhill) Griffee, Alisha Howard, Denyael (Kevin) Owsley, and Jordan (Christine) Griffee; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; siblings, David (Joni) Griffee and Michelle (Rod) Freidrichs.

Visitation will be from 11:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. His Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm on Sunday, at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
