Denice (Day) Andres, 65, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021. She was a 1974 graduate of Providence High School and a long-time member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. Her deep love of music was evident in her choir ministry where she so willingly shared the gift of her voice. Denice was an employee at Koetter Northgate Properties for over 25 years. While, at times, Denice was known to act as a mother hen, she was, without a doubt, everyone's favorite little sister, NeNe, sister-in-law, aunt, friend, and neighbor.
She was born on April 25, 1956, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Robert, Sr., and Joann (Zipp) Day. Denice is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Mike Andres; son, Kyle Andres (Ruth); grandchildren, Thatcher and Penelope Andres; siblings, Pat Hedelman (David), Cecilia "Chi-Chi" Julius (David), Ruth Ann Thompson (Darryl), and Bob Day, Jr. (Sis); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
