Dena Ellen Bentley

Dena Ellen Bentley, 61, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019. Dena always enjoyed playing a good slot machine. She loved her 3 Yorkie dogs and looked forward to vacationing with her group of friends from high school affectionately known as the "Beach Babes." Dena had a heart to serve and used that in her charity work with the Animal Shelter, Exit 0, and many other organizations.

She was born on July 26, 1958, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to the late Johnny and Doris (Whitt) Edwards. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Crone; and her brother, Tim Edwards.

Dena is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Roy Bentley; daughter, Christine (Todd) McCord; son, Charles (Amy) Lind; stepdaughter, Robin Lagenour; stepson, Gregory (Trina) Sexton; stepdaughter, Maria (Kevin) Martin; stepdaughter, Tara (Brook) Tarr; brother, Johnny Edwards, Jr.; sister, Holly (Rick) Cannon; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a very special caregiver, Nikki Bingham.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Memphis.
