Dempster H. Kiper, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. He retired from the maintenance department at General Electric and proudly served as a mechanic in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Dempster was born on July 7, 1925 in McDaniels, Kentucky to the late James W. Kiper and Bessie (Hall) Mann. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wilma F. (Lawson) Kiper and his sons Michael Ray and Harold Leroy Kiper.
He is survived by his son, James Kiper; sister, Mary Louise Miller; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Visitation will be from 5 to 6 PM on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Hillview Assembly of God (1408 Hillview Blvd, Louisville, KY 40229) with Memorial Service at 6 PM. Graveside services will be at 11 AM Monday, April 25, 2016 at Cave Springs Cemetery in Westview, Kentucky with military honors. Cremation was chosen according to Dempster's wishes.
