Delores June (Doades) Rhodes

Delores June (Doades) Rhodes, 91, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Born on March 5, 1934, in Washington, Indiana, Delores was the daughter of Wilbur and Doris (Smith) Doades.

Delores lived a life full of love and devotion to her family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil, and her sister, Mary Potts.

Delores is survived by her sons, Donald Rhodes and his wife Adorie, and David Rhodes and his wife Robin. She took great joy in her family, relishing the time spent with her grandchildren, Nick Rhodes, Michelle Meek and her husband David, and Cody Rhodes and his wife Margaret. Delores was particularly proud of her great-grandchildren, Eli, Mia, Chloe, and Abigail, who brought immense joy into her life. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Billie Furnish, and her husband Roger.

A visitation to honor her life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at 4:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest privately beside her husband at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
