Delmar Eugene Yandell, Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022.
He was born on April 22, 1944 in Queens, New York to Delmar and Josephine (Kummer) Yandell. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he played on the golf team. Gene was known for his caring heart, contagious sense of humor, and great storytelling. He was an avid sports fan and a lifelong supporter of the Chicago Cubs. He was an amazing husband, father, and brother who is loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
Gene is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Diane, his parents, and brother Tom Yandell.
Gene is survived by his daughter, Nicole (Steve) Yandell and brother Bill (Charlotte) Yandell of North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Animal Care Society of Louisville or Kentucky Humane Society.
