Della" Marie "(Greene) Roberts, 87, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2015 in New Albany, Indiana.
Marie was born on August 3, 1928 in Springfield, Illinois to Samuel and Mamie (Loven) Greene. She worked at Floyd Central School in the cafeteria for 20 years. Marie enjoyed watching sports, especially IU basketball, and spending time with her family.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Roberts; son, Mark Roberts; brother, Carl Greene; sisters, Dorothy Wilder, Gladys Roberts, and Helen Lawson. Marie is survived by her sons, Allen Roberts and Gary Roberts (Theresa); brother, Glenn Greene; five grandchildren, Melia Banet (Brigg), Abby Sommerfield, Karen Rhodes (K.C.), Cole Roberts, and Sam Roberts; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana.
Memorial donations can be made to the Floyd County Animal Shelter (215 West Market Street, New Albany, IN 47150).
