Debra Sue (Brown) Kaelin

Debra Sue "Debra RN" (Brown) Kaelin, 67, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021. Debra was a Catholic by faith, loved life, and lived each day to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling and attending estate sales and auctions. Of all her pastimes, her favorite was being with her family, especially her children.

She was born on August 25, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Joseph and Mary (Thomas) Brown. Along with her parents, Debra is preceded in death by her brother, Danny Brown.

Debra is survived by her husband, John Kaelin; children, Brian (Joy) McCombs and Elizabeth McCombs; grandchildren, Owen McCombs, Max McCombs, and Rory McCombs; siblings, Joey Brown, Timmy (Susan) Brown, Teddy (Susan) Brown, Johnny (Lorena) Brown, Clinton Brown, Christa (Adam) Smallwood, and Cindy (Steve) Wyatt; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Debra's wishes.

The family requests that contributions in Debra's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
