Debra Thomas Gray, born on August 11, 1965, left us far too soon on January 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a woman of God and a beacon of light in the lives she touched, known for her outgoing spirit, infectious laughter, and fun-loving nature. Debra had an uncanny ability to lift the mood in any room, bringing joy to all who were lucky enough to be in her presence.
A devoted grandmother, Debra found immense happiness in spending precious moments with her grandson, Giovanni. Those times together were filled with laughter and love, and they created memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
Debra embraced life with a zest that was truly inspiring. She was passionate about her favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Louisville Cardinals, often eagerly watching their games alongside her loving husband, Glenn. The excitement of the game day was a testament to her spirited nature, as she cheered enthusiastically for her teams.
In addition to her sports enthusiasm, Debra enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, playing cards and dominos with family and friends that brought her joy and connection. Her love for travel also shaped some of her fondest memories, allowing her to explore new places with those dearest to her.
One of Debra's proudest accomplishments was attending cosmetology school, which not only showcased her creativity but also her desire to beautify the world around her. She carried her passion into every facet of her life, leaving an indelible mark on the people she encountered.
Debra’s legacy of love, laughter, and joy will forever be cherished. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her remarkable life during the visitation on January 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Both events will take place at the Newburg Church of Christ, located at 4700 East Indian Trail, Louisville, KY, 40218.
