Debbie Bibb, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, and became our guardian Angel. She was born on July 4, 1951, to James and Ethel Bibb. Her dad always told her when she was little that the fireworks were all for her.
She was a breast cancer survivor. She loved music. She would sing and dance (in her seat as she got older) any chance she could get. She was fascinated with airplanes and flying. We would go to air shows, and she would tell us all about each plane that was there. She was an avid Louisville Cardinals basketball fan. She cheered them on so loudly she'd scare us kids when we were younger (and she passed that trait down to her children). Most of all, she loved her family and friends. She would whip out tons of pictures and show anyone who would look at them (with us rolling our eyes most times, but we knew it was out of pride).
Mom will be terribly missed by so many people. She never met a stranger and considered every person a lifelong friend. But we all know she'll be watching over us.
She was preceded in death by her father, James E. Bibb and mother, Ethel C. (Kramer) Bibb.
She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Shannon Bruederle, Kristen Walker (Jamie), and Megan Bruederle; granddaughters, Typhaney Ritchey (David), Abigail Sebrey, Karley Walker, Jaiden Walker, Andre'a Peoples, and Kadence Walker; sisters, Judy Mitchell (Jerry), Ethelind Griffin (Darrell), and Jamie Bibb; 1 nephew; 2 nieces; 4 great-nephews, and 1 great-niece.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Baptist Tabernacle (2854 West Market Street, Louisville, KY 40212) on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the service to follow.
