Dean Anthony Jacobi, a cherished son, brother, and friend, left this world on October 4, 2024, at the age of 47. Born on July 29, 1977, in Louisville, Kentucky, Dean was a beloved member of his community and a life-long member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. His spirit resonated with joy and innocence. Swimming, coloring, singing and dancing, brought him immense happiness throughout his life.
Dean's joyous outlook on life was a true testament to his strength. God handed Dean his toughest battles and he overcame them all with a smile on his face. He had a special warmth about him and brought love to everyone he touched.
His warmth and kindness were felt by many, but it is his family who will carry his memory most dearly. Dean is survived by his loving mother, Dian Wolfe Jacobi, and his adoring sisters, Angela Carter, Melissa Jacobi, and Kimberly Harbison. His extended family includes devoted aunts and uncles: Walter (Caroline) Wolfe, Robert (Nancy) Jacobi, Jerome (Janie) Jacobi, Donald Jacobi, Wayne (Vickie) Jacobi, Catherine Russo, Eileen Jacobi, and Christina Jacobi, all of whom cherished their time spent with Dean.
His legacy continues through his nieces and nephews, each one holding a special place in his heart: Nathan (Morgan) Harbison, Makenzie Ackermann, Jessica (John) Meldrum, Jacob Carter, Erica (Shahzaad) Mann, Alivia (Austin) Hall, and Nick Carter. To them, he was not just an uncle, but a wellspring of love and happiness.
Dean was predeceased by his father, Lawrence Jacobi, whose memory Dean honored throughout his life, as well as by his aunt, Betty Wolfe, and uncle, Kenneth Jacobi.
As we gather to remember and celebrate the life of Dean Anthony Jacobi, we hold dear the laughter, love, and light he brought into our lives. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding us all to embrace our life and to live life fully, just as he did.
