Dean Joseph Faulkenberg

Dean Joseph Faulkenberg, "The Sheik of Okolona" age 54 of Louisville, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019. He was born on May 14, 1965 to the late Joseph W. Faulkenberg and Alberta Philpot. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert Flannagan, Bill and Ruth Faulkenberg; and nephew, Dustin Faulkenberg. Dean was a larger than life character with a hilarious sense of humor. He was a self-employed flooring installer, a Miami Dolphins fan and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He also liked to collect autograph memorabilia. He made friends wherever he went, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Dean is survived by his loving mother, Alberta Philpot; children, Michael Davis, Amanda Davis, Brandon Faulkenberg (Whitney) and Brittany Faulkenberg; grandchildren, Dakota, Landon, Noah, Lillie, Triniti, Paisley, Gaige, Sean, Harper and Hadley; brother, Michael Faulkenberg (Tina); sister, Teresa Collins; grandmother, Mary Flannagan; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 2 to 8 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243. A celebration of Dean's life will be 11am Wednesday, September 18th at the funeral home, with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
