Daymon D. Fletcher

Daymon D. Fletcher, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 17, 2026, in Louisville. He was born on September 10, 1971, in Louisville, and throughout his life he was known for his warmth, energy, and deep love for the people around him.

Daymon graduated from Central High School in 1989 and later continued his education, earning a Bachelor degree from Drake State Tech College in 2016. He also served his country with honor in the United States Army during Desert Storm. In his working life, he was employed at Nucor Tubular Products in Louisville, where he worked as a welder, in the store room, and in shipping and receiving.

Daymon dedicated his life to Jehovah God and symbolized that by water baptism on September 29, 2025. He attended Coral Ridge Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed the ministry and was looking forward to being trained for the local carts. 

He brought joy wherever he went and was truly the life of the party. Daymon was an avid Las Vegas Raiders fan, and he found happiness in music, movies, and traveling. More than anything, he treasured spending time with his family and friends, creating memories that will be held close by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, LaTissa Fletcher; his father, James L. Fletcher (Venetia); his children, Antwon Fletcher, Tre'mon Fletcher, Taylor Fletcher, Dylan Smith, Kendyl Fletcher, Antonia Hoye, Antonio Hoye Jr. (Cassie), Arianna Hoye, and Tyrese Swoopes, his bonus son; and his grandchildren, Maisyn, Jordan, Antonio III, Avery, Sofie, Mari, Nova, Dominic, and Koban. He is also survived by his nieces Daja Jones and Athalia Fletcher, and his nephew Javan Fletcher Jr.; his brother Victor "Lamont" Wailing; his brother Javan Fletcher Sr. (Cynthia); his sisters Dana Fletcher, Vonda Fletcher, and Courtney Shacklette (Bryce); his beloved dog, Raider; and his very dear friend, Melvin Stewart. Each of them shared in Daymon’s life in a special way and will carry forward the love, laughter, and strength he gave so freely.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Freeman, and his brother, James Lee Wade.

Funeral Service for Daymon will be on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 1:30PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses -- Iroquois Park, Shively, Dixie Spanish, 3500 Peleske Drive.

Daymon will be remembered with love for his generous spirit, his lively presence, and the way he brought people together. His memory will remain a blessing to his family and friends, and his life will continue to be honored in the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.
