David Alan Yenner, 60, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022.
He was born on June 19, 1961 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Robert J. Yenner and Adria Jane (Sapp) Yenner. A lifelong resident of Germantown, David graduated from St. Xavier High School Class of 1979.
He started coaching at Germantown Baseball in 1978 and has been a cherished presence at the ballpark for over 40 years. David served as a Board Member, Baseball Player Agent, VP of Baseball and Acting President. Always putting having fun and learning the game first, David has served as an incredible coach, mentor and friend to all.
David is survived by his loving siblings, Paul (Pam) Yenner, Cheryl (Randy) Reeves, and Terry (Lesley) Yenner; nieces & nephews, Nicholas Yenner, Amanda Brinegar, Brandon Spencer, Laura (Josh) Wilkerson, Sarah (Michael) Reeves, and Andrew Reeves; great-nieces & nephews, Tyler, Corey, Sarah, Christopher Jr., Adam and Zoey. David is preceded in death by his nephews, Jason Brinegar & Chris Yenner.
A Memorial Gathering will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a time of Sharing of Memories at 3:30 pm on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions-East Louisville Chapel, (235 Juneau Dr.).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in David's memory be made to Germantown Baseball.
