David William Koetter, 61, of Starlight, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016. David was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Starlight. He was the owner of Starlight Construction, Inc., who enjoyed NASCAR racing. He loved his faith, family, friends, his work, and his community. David leaves a legacy of loyalty and a hard work ethic.
He was born on August 31, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas, to Betty Jean (Kruer) Koetter and the late William J. Koetter. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Tolle.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Catherine "Cathy" Koetter; daughters, Beverly McKinley (Aaron) and Brooklyn Koetter; sisters, Darlene Kuzmic (Mike) and Susie Fields (George); brothers, Mark, Regis (Debbie), and Raymond (Peggy) Koetter; granddaughters, Caitlin and Josie McKinley; and faithful canine companions, Bella and Mylie.
Visitation will be from 1 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the Forest Discovery Center (Koetter Woodworking, 533 Louis Smith Road, Borden, IN 47106). His Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM Thursday St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (8310 St. John's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
