David Brian Thompson

David "Dave" Brian Thompson, 53, previously of Clark county, passed away on January 20, 2017 in Louisville, Kentucky at his home. He was a hard worker and worked for various companies: Fischers' Packing Company, Tyson, Kelloggs' and Morgan Foods in Austin, Indiana. Dave enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of IU, Bobby Knight, and Brett Favre.

Dave was born on August 20, 1963 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to David Thompson and Frances (Robinson) Bower. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Wanda (Miller) Thompson; his children, Renee Vessels (Andy), Amanda Williams (Elton), C.W. Thompson (Melissa), Christina Smith (Nick), Ashley Arnold (Michael); sisters, Robin Flory (Steve) and Katie Downs (Will); brothers, Richard (Marylin) and James (JoAnn) Bower; 12 grandchildren, and 1one great-grandchild along with his dog, Toto.

There will be a Visitation on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 2 to 8 PM and Wednesday from 9 to 11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11 AM at the funeral home.
