David Michael Sturgeon

David Michael Sturgeon, 53, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021. David was a hard worker and enjoyed being employed at Rauch Inc. in New Albany. He always enjoyed time spent at the ocean. David loved The Three Stooges, the Andy Griffith Show, and the Rocky movies. To meet David was to see joy and unconditional love in person. His smile and sense of humor will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

David is survived by his loving parents, Bob Sturgeon and Sue (Woodruff) Sturgeon; sister, Jessica Seifert and her husband, Ben; brother, Chris Sturgeon; aunt, Pat Linck; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dedicated caretakers, Tammy Mills and Dulcy Looney.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

The family requests that contributions in David's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105) or the Floyd County Humane Society of Indiana (P.O. Box 1134, New Albany, IN 47151).
