David A. Sellers, of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, passed away on November 1, 2026, in Shepherdsville. He was born on July 27, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky.
David graduated from Butler High School and went on to build a long and faithful career. He worked as a loyal salesman at Truck Parts and Service for 40 years, a testament to his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic.
He was a very strong but gentle man, someone who would do anything for anybody and who was always true to his word. David loved his land and loved working his land; it was his own paradise. He found joy in fishing and in watching the deer on his property. He also enjoyed woodworking and working with his hands, pursuits that reflected both his skill and his appreciation for honest, meaningful labor. He loved singing karaoke and dancing, and he also enjoyed shooting his guns on his land.
Among his proud accomplishments, David was a member of the Bassmaster club and earned numerous wins in fishing tournaments. Above all else, he was proudest of his family and of being able to be there for them, a devotion that remained at the heart of his life.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Bragg (Gary), former son-in-law, Eddie Rudolph, and by his granddaughters, Sophia Rudolph and Abigail Rudolph, who were a cherished part of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Connie Hopper (Steve); his sisters-in-law, Sandra Sellers, Erlena Sellers, and Debbie Sellers; his step-sisters, Joan Gagel and Ann Calvert (Carl); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. May his memory continue to live on in the lives of those who knew his strength, kindness, and steady presence.
David was preceded in death by his father, Albert Eugene “Gene” Sellers; his mother, JoAnn Gagel; his step-father, Ben Gagel; his brothers, Steve Sellers, Larry Sellers, and Kenny Sellers; his step-sister, Maureen Nolan; and his step-brother, Michael Gagel.
A celebration of life for David will take place at a later date. For more information, please follow Connie Hopper on Facebook.
He will be remembered with love for his stubborn but gentle nature, his loyalty, his deep pride in his family, and the happiness he found in the life he built around the land he treasured.
