David Leroy Mullins

David Leroy Mullins, 82, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018. He was a retired lieutenant for the Louisville Police Department and the past president of the Louisville F.O. P Lodge #6. David was a member of the Plumb Masonic Lodge #862 and loved fishing. He was known as an expert handyman and loved working in his garden.

He was born on May 14, 1936 in Lebanon, Kentucky to the late Howard Mullins and Mildred A. (Raney) Schmidt. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Mullins.

David is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Linda (Trowbridge) Mullins, daughters, Pam Wachter (John) and Laura Wheatley (Butch); grandchildren, Justin Wachter, Jessica Shaw, Tony Wachter, Derek Wheatley, and Keith Wheatley; great-grandchildren, Cole Metcalf, Lucas Wachter, Elaine Shaw, and Kara Wheatley; siblings, Pat Daughtery, Brenda Mudd, and Linda Wemes; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 PM to 7 PM on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). His Funeral Service will follow at 7 PM at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
