David Lee Minzenberger, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
David was a cherished individual, known for his unwavering love as a husband, father, son, pepaw, brother, and friend. With a heart as generous as it was kind, David was a hardworking man who made friends wherever he went. His spirit shone brightly, and he never met a stranger; he was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. A longtime member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, David found joy in his faith and community.
A dedicated fan of UofL, David loved immersing himself in the spirit of the game. In his leisure time, you could find him fishing, chatting with neighbors, enjoying movies, working outside on his lawn, or creating delightful meals infused with his special touch. His laughter and warmth will be profoundly missed by all who had the joy of knowing him.
Born on July 17, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, David was the son of Calvin and Marguerite (Smith) Minzenberger. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Lisa Minzenberger, his mother, Marguerite, his father, Calvin, and his brother, Danny.
David leaves behind a loving legacy through his devoted daughter, Abby (Jesse) Murphy, and his son, Scott (Mandy) Minzenberger. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (David) Stansbury, and his cherished grandchildren: Cameron, Caleb, Madison, Mason, and Jesse. Along with two nephews and countless extended family and friends, they will forever hold David’s memory close to their hearts.
A visitation to celebrate David’s life will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. This will be followed by a Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m., with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
