David Lee Maning, 76, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. He was a machinist at Colgate Palmolive and retired after 35 years of service. After retiring, David enjoyed watching movies, mowing the lawn, and tinkering with tools.
He was born on December 14, 1940, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Daniel and Dorothy (Salesman) Maning. David was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Chasity Henson.
David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judith (Lanning) Maning; daughters, Deborah Brown (Dan), Vickie Lightfoot, Cheryl Henson, and Mary Stumler (Keith); grandchildren, Jason McKinley, Brianne Henson, Kyle Stumler (Amanda), Lisa Lightfoot, Jill Lightfoot, Rachellé Henson, Brodie Henson, Josh McKinley (Emily), Brandon Stumler, Chelsey Stumler, and Grant Brown.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017, at Newcomer – Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Tuesday after 10:00 a.m. His Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
