David Lee Johnson

David Lee Johnson, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026. David was a good brother and loved his family with all his heart. He was a devote Christian and member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. He always loved horse racing. He will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on January 17, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to Starl and Geraldine (Byrd) Johnson. He is preceded in death by his Father, Starl Cleveland Johnson, Mother, Geraldine May Johnson, Siblings, Joseph Johnson, Paul Johnson, Francis Farrell, Nephews, MichaeL Johnson and Scott Johnson.

David is survived by his loving Brother, Michael (Karen) Johnson, Nieces and nephews, Debbie Sharpenstein, Lisa Nakos, Denise Morrison, Michael Johnson, Diane Johnson, Deliah Johnson, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
