David L. Gittleman

David Lind Gittleman age 87, of Louisville,KY passed away on September 18, 2014. He left quietly, safe in the knowledge that he loved and was loved by his family. David desired most for there to be peace and justice in the world, and as a lawyer and mediator, he spent fifty years working towards those goals. He proudly served his country in the navy and his city in the courtroom. While always believing he could do better and give more, he gave his best each day, and resolved to do better tomorrow.

At the end of his life, what he wanted to impart was this: you must take care of each other, and end each day knowing you have treated others fairly. A good father and a good person, he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Susan, five children; John, Nancy, George, Aline and Dorian and four grandchildren.

A Memorial Celebration will be held on October 12, 2014 from 2-6pm at 1416 Willow Ave. 5B, Louisville,KY 40204.
