David A. Garritson-Heman

David A. Garritson-Heman, 82, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. He had a lifelong career as a salesperson, working at various establishments including Lowe's in Clarksville and Manheim in Louisville. David loved baseball and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He was also fond of cats, collecting model trains and enjoyed being near the river, watching the riverboats go by.

He was born on September 9, 1943 in Washington, Missouri to Anthony Heman and Helen (Frisinger) Garritson. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Heman and James Garritson.

David is survived by his son, Steven Garritson; close friend, Philip Linz (Kathy); and several cousins and extended family members.

David's wish was to be cremated and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. He will be laid to rest with his parents in a cemetery outside of St. Louis, Missouri.
