David Futch

David Futch, 71, of Louisville, KY died at home of natural causes in April 21, 2026.

He was born at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina to L.J. And Pat Futch. He was raised in Shreveport, LA until moving to Louisville with his family as a teenager. David worked most of his life in construction, retiring in 2016.

David was an avid fan of all things college sports, fishing, good music, and great food. The world will seem a little quieter without his laugh.

David was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gary. 

He is survived by his wife of 36 years Sandy; his 3 sons, Joshua, Adam (wife, Ashley, grandson, Dylan and granddaughter, Hannah), and Andrew (wife, Amelia, granddaughter, Emma);  brother, Steve (Carolyn) Futch; sister, Cecelia (Richard) Rogrow and many nieces and nephews.

There will not be a service. The family will host a celebration of life at Fairdale Christian Church May 30th at 1pm.
