David Joe Firkin

David Joe Firkin, 59, of Underwood, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on December 5, 1961 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Ernest "Ernie" Firkin and Ruth "Joyce" Stephens. David was married to the love of his life, Bonnie Firkin, on June 1, 1989. He worked in construction his whole life.

David is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Firkin; daughter, Crystal Maymon, and her husband, Jeremy; daughter, Casey Combs, and her fiancé, Jamie; daughter, Cathy Edwards, and her husband, Robert; son, Wayne Combs, and his wife, Ashlie; daughter, Jessica Firkin, and her fiancé, Nathan; grandchildren, Kelsey, Hannah, Lillie, Shelby, Gracie, Cody, Abby, Nathan, Emily and Alexis; great-grandchild, Kennedy; sister, Penny Cozart and her husband, Danny; sister, Maggie Cole, and her husband, Darrell; and brother, Ernest "Scooter" Firkin and his wife, Sarah.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, at funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
