David Eugene Thompson

March 27, 1960 — September 20, 2015

David Eugene Thompson, 55, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on September 20, 2015. He was an employee at Pillsbury in New Albany. David was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors. He loved spending time on Patoka Lake, as well as being with his family and friends.

He was born on March 27, 1960 in Louisville, Kentucky to Ernest and Wilma (Crowder) Thompson. Along with his parents, David is survived by his siblings, Louetta Combs, Ernest Thompson II (Samantha), Terese Nealy (Harry); loving companion, Sue Knight; and 9 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM on Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville) with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville.
