"You just can't keep the Ole Double D down. You'll see." And in the end, he was right!
David Keith Decker rose above it all… and went to be with his Heavenly Father, his Daddy, Brother, and Big sister after celebrating a much deserved Happy Christmas! David lived larger than life. He was boisterous, funny, sensitive, and loving. His kindness for lost souls and helpless animals exposed the beautiful and true nature of his heart, even when his giant personality tried to hide it.
He was a graduate of Doss High School. He worked in the auto industry and owned and operated his own successful business in South Louisville. He had traveled and seen it all, but he knew his greatest accomplishments in this world were his two Children, David Jr and Taylor Rae. If you are as fortunate as I am, your kids will be better people than anyone you know. Thank God, Ole' David Decker's are! I am blessed!" And for that he was.
He battled with many health issues and experienced a lot of heart ache in his life. But he never lost hope to make tomorrow better. He passed away at his home after suffering a heart attack. And today his Loving mother, Children, brother, and sisters and loyal little dog Lily are heartbroken. But his spirit lives on. Rest in peace DD. We love you. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Clemma Flaherty and Estill and Delcie Decker; his father, Harold Ray; his sister, Rhonda; and brother Gary.
