David Chalmers, 85, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on February 18, 2015. He retired from G.E. and was an active member of The National Rifle Association, South Louisville Christian Church, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

David was born on December 5, 1929 in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania to the late John and Sarah (Frankenfield) Chalmers.

David is survived by his wife, Juanita Chalmers; niece and caregiver, Jill Steimle, two nephews, Martin Steimle and Johann "Kit" Steimle, three sisters-in-law, Joyce (Bill) Steimle, Laura Lee Thomas, and Martha Helen Meeker.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville). His funeral ceremony will be held Monday at 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Louisville with entombment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
