David Allen Brading, age 95, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, pappaw, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born on June 17, 1930, in Charlestown, Indiana, David was the son of Noah and Susie (Arvin) Brading. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Noah and Susie Brading, and his siblings Elmer Brading, Margaret Edmonds, John Brading, and Mel Craig.
David is survived by his cherished wife of 76 years, Elsie Brading; his son Jim (Beverly) Brading; daughters Vicki Kelly and Pam (Jason) Adams; and numerous grandchildren, including Brett Kelly, Brandon (Brittany) Rice, Sean Kelly, Nicholas (Amanda) Rice, Brittany Morrison, Jason Adams, Brenda LaFollette, Lisa (Jeff) Smith, Raylene Hunt, and Richard Hunt. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Madison Kelly, Evan Rice, Gracie Rice, David Click, Emily Morrison, James Rice, Amber (Mike) Chancey, Autumn LaFollette, and Shelby LaFollette, as well as a great-great-grandchild, Scarlette Chancey. In addition, he is remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
