David Braden

March 16, 1967 — January 23, 2018

David Braden, 50, of Simpsonville, Kentucky passed away on January 23, 2018 after surviving the recent ballistic missile threat in Hawaii. He bravely fought a courageous battle with cancer until the end surrounded by his loving family.

He was an employee of Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Kentucky in Georgetown. David enjoyed traveling with his family, spending time on the water and was an avid UofL fan. His family and friends enjoyed his stories, jokes and laughs no matter how many times you heard them.

David was born on March 16, 1967 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Wilbur and Dorothy (Mulloy) Braden. He was also preceded in death by his nephew Korie Alvey.

David is survived by his wife of 30 years, Michelle Braden; children; Nicholas Braden, Nathan (Chelby) Braden, and Amanda Braden. He is also survived by his brother Ed (Betty) Braden, sister Bobbie Alvey-Cortez and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral ceremony at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).

Memorial contributions may be made to North Oldham Little League where he was a coach and board member.
