August 27, 1939 — February 6, 2016

Darward "Dob" Henderson, 76, of Clarkson, Kentucky passed away on February 6, 2016. Dob was a retired Lt. from the Louisville Police Department and also served our country in the U.S. Army.

Dob was born on August 27, 1939 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to the late James and Lillian (Miller) Henderson.

Dob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia (Blakley) Henderson; daughters, Karen (Rex) Triplett, Lisa (Mike) Buckner, sons, Michael (Kim) Henderson, and Tony (Brandy) Henderson, grandchildren, Chasity, Ashley, Daniel, Jared, Koby, Brock, Shannon, Sara, Alex, and Brianna.

He is also survived by three brothers, Ronald, Ted, and Rex, five sisters; June, Sharon, Vena, Lorelei, and Debbie as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville 40243).

His funeral ceremony will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Norton Cancer Institute.
