Darvin "D.J." Rogers

Darvin "D.J." Rogers, 51, of Louisville (Germantown), Kentucky, passed away on April 8, 2022. Darvin was born to Arvin Hardin and Mary Redmon, both of Taylorsville, Kentucky, on May 30, 1970.

Darvin worked as an electrician and master of all trades for 30+ years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hanging out with his son and friends, and loved to joke around. He was an avid Cardinal fan, sporting a consistent wardrobe of red. His pride and joy was his grandson, Man Man. They could be found doing almost everything together and were the best of friends. His Pawpaw would want him to know that he will always love him and be there with him.

Darvin is preceded in death by his parents, Arvin Hardin and Mary Redmon; his brother, Bruce Rogers, and his three sisters, Diane Devine, Charlotte Holderman, & Johnetta Deshazier.

Darvin leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Josie Shircliff, D.J. Smith, Danielle (Jerry) Smith & Noah Parrish; his grandchildren, Man Man and Jaxon Smith; his sister, Mary Anne (Brad) Johnson, as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 4:00PM – 8:00PM with additional visitation hours on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, service to follow at 1:00PM. Services are taking place at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville).
