Darryl Glenn Spencer

Darryl Glenn Spencer, 63, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Darryl carried many titles including husband, father, teacher, protector and true leader. He was no stranger to hard work given his work history at UPS, Anderson Packaging and Tennant Company. He was very knowledgeable, encouraging, shared a lot of wisdom and cracked plenty of jokes. *In my Dad's free time, he enjoyed messing around on the keyboard, playing the guitar, playing old school hits like Parliament Funkadelic and the Dramatics. The impressions he made of Bootsy Collins was some of our favorite pass times."

He was born on September 13, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan to Ernest and Josephine (Hall) Spencer. He is preceded in death by his Father, Ernest Spencer and Wife of 17 years, Dorothy Spencer.

Darryl is survived by his loving family, Mother, Josephine Spencer; Sons, Chakeem J. Spencer, Frederick E. (Felicia) Keltee, Jr., and Bonus Son, Tijuan D. Howard; Grandson, Jayvyn Keltee; Sisters, Paulette Spencer-LaGarde and Corlette Spencer, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.

The Visitation will be on Sunday August 18, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Downtown Kingdom Hall (1630 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd). The Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 pm at Downtown Kingdom Hall (1630 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd) with the repass to follow at Chandelier Main Event (4739 Dixie Hwy).
