Darrel Allen Hamlin, 68, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015. He was a carpenter by trade and a United States Army veteran.
He was born on November 25, 1946 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to the late Jack and Mary (Veaga) Hamlin. Darrel is survived by his children, James Hamlin (fiancé, Jennifer), Shawn Wheat, Darrel Hamlin, Jr.; siblings, Jerry Hamlin, Jack Hamlin, Ann Pringle, Wayne Hamlin, Vickie Hamlin, and Lonnie Howell.
Cremation was chosen following Darrel's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be from 11 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a Memorial Service taking place at 1 PM.
