Darlene Annette Hines

Darlene A. Hines, 62, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020. Dee was a member of Memphis Christian Church. She enjoyed baking and cooking, being outside in the sun by the water and having picnics. Dee loved spending time with the children in the family and her greatest joy came from spending time with her son and granddaughter.

She was born in Hammond, Indiana to Eilean (Miller) Hines and the late Jack Hines. Along with her father, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Mark and Daniel Hines; niece, Samantha Hines; and brother in-law, John Allen.

Dee is survived by her loving son, James "Jimmy" Hines; mother, Eilean Hines, sister, Cheryl Hines-Allen; brother, Paul (Valerie) Hines; sister, Charla (Steve) Hines-Martinez; granddaughter, Kaia Hines; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.
