Danny Spaulding, affectionately known as Dan, passed away on March 29, 2026. Born on December 21, 1962, in Louisville, he lived a life characterized by kindness, positivity, and an insatiable thirst for knowledge.
Dan earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Louisville, a foundation that supported his lifelong passion for learning and intellectual pursuits. His keen intelligence was evident in all he did, whether behind the camera lens as a dedicated photographer or during his 18-year tenure at UPS, where he excelled in Engineering Maintenance.
A true free spirit with a gentle soul, Dan was known for his warmth and general knowledge of absolutely everything. An avid reader and collector, he delighted in immersing himself in books and music, consistently broadening his horizons. He loved attending concerts and movies - simple pleasures that brought him happiness and created lasting memories with friends. His positive attitude and love for life inspired all who knew him.
Dan will be deeply remembered by his family and those who knew him. He was the beloved son of the late Stanley and Ina Spaulding. He is survived by his brother, Dallas (Nichola) Stayton; his nieces Davonna (Doug) Riggs, Rebekah Ashcraft, and Shannon (Daniel) Andes; his stepmother, Julie Spaulding; as well as several great-nephews and great-nieces, and many dear friends, especially Walt and Travis. To those that knew him best, Dan approached each day with curiosity, a love for connection, and an eagerness for the next adventure.
Though his presence will be profoundly missed, Danny Spaulding’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the many lives he touched. His memory remains a testament to a life lived with kindness and infinite curiosity.
