Danny Thomas Rudolph, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on August 23, 2026, in his hometown. He was born on March 4, 1954, in New Albany, a place that remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Danny was a graduate of New Albany High School. During his school years, he discovered a love for sports and played football. He later worked for many years at Fire King in maintenance, where he devoted himself to his work with steady commitment.
Outside of work, Danny found joy in the things that made life meaningful to him. He enjoyed photography, loved music, and treasured his African Grey. He also loved spending time with his friends and family, sharing stories and making memories that would last a lifetime. Danny was a jokester through and through, always ready to make people laugh, whether he had known someone for years or had just met them.
He is survived by his sister, Karen (Gael) Baumgart; by his nieces, Rebecca (John-Paul) Brashear and Beth (Calvin) Simpson; and several great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Rudolph, and his mother, Nora Rudolph.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150. A Celebration of Life will follow there at 6:00 PM.
Danny will be remembered for his humor, his love of people, and the happiness he brought to those around him. His memory will remain with all who knew him.
