Danny McLean, Sr.

Danny L. McLean Sr. , 82, of Mount Washington, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

He was born on May 28, 1943 in Columbia, Kentucky to the late Herman and Jewel (Rose) McLean. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Bonnell, granddaughter, Whitney Bonnell and sisters, Nancy Bryant and Pat Rucker.

Danny was a member of Longfield United Baptist Church and worked at St. Joe Container for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, shopping with his wife and was a car enthusiast.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Judy K. McLean, son, Danny L. McLean Jr. (Missy), grandchildren, Brittany South (Allen), Dylan McLean, Danielle Booth (Billy), Devin Bonnell (Samantha) and great-grandchildren, Brayden, Cruz, Skylar, Stella, Jack and Lizzie South . He is also survived by his brother, William "Bill" McLean.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Longfield First United Baptist Church (5507 Cartledge Court Louisville, KY 40214) with burial to follow at Lone Hill United Baptist Church Cemetery (5410 Mount Washington Road Louisville, KY 40229).
