Dannie Dale Matlock, Sr., 69, of Custer, Kentucky, passed away on September 15, 2017. He loved horses, squirrel and rabbit hunting, being at his farm, piddling around the garage, and playing music and singing.
He was born on May 13, 1948, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late Jessie and Rachel (Breeden) Matlock. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Lea Matlock; and brothers, Earl, Charles, and John Matlock.
Dannie is survived by his children, Margaret Densford (Dwayne), Dannie Matlock, Jr. (Tonya), Pamela Matlock (Jimmy), Sherry Weigleb (Toby), Heather Matlock, and Christopher Matlock; sisters, Shirley Begley and Paula Karr; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and second wife, Mary R. Driver.
Memorial Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Memorial Service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. Cremation was chosen following Dannie's wishes.
Memorial Contributions may be made in care of Dannie Matlock, Jr., for help with Dannie's funeral expenses.
