Daniel Patrick Lucart, known to many as Luke, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on October 12, 1963, in Akron, Ohio, Luke lived a life marked by dedication, skill, and a genuine love for those around him.
A proud graduate of Fairdale High School in 1981, Luke demonstrated early on a strong work ethic and a determination to master any challenge. These qualities carried through to an impressive 42-year career at Lanham Insulation, Inc., where he served as a Senior Supervisor and Industrial Insulator. His colleagues knew him as a man who could fix anything—a talent that extended beyond his professional life. If Luke didn’t initially know how to solve a problem, he would find a way, reflecting his ingenuity and perseverance.
Luke’s personality outgoing and full of life, he was known for his selflessness and his willingness to help others at every opportunity. He enjoyed creating joyous moments, whether through his love of music, singing karaoke, or simply being in the company of friends and family. He was happiest when he was outdoors, doing activities like camping, boating, and fishing.
Above all, Luke’s proudest accomplishments were his daughters and grandchildren, who were the center of his heart and life. His legacy lives on through them, reflecting the love and care he invested in his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Floyd Lucart.
Luke is survived by his daughters, Jessica and Danielle (Jeff); wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Keara, Kameron, Jayden and Kynlee; sisters, Kimberly and Karen; step-daughters, Ashley (Shawn) and Tara; several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins.
A memorial gathering celebrating Luke’s life will be held on May 30, 2026, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2173, located at 201 Outer Loop in Louisville, Kentucky, the time to be determined. This event offers a time for friends and loved ones to honor a man who was truly one of a kind.
