Listen to Obituary

Danaylee R. "Naylee" Visser, a radiant spirit who brought joy to everyone who knew her, passed away on March 7, 2026, in Louisville, the city of her birth on January 9, 2002. Naylee was a cherished daughter, sister, and friend, known for her huge heart and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Growing up, Naylee attended Wilt Elementary, Moore Traditional School, and graduated from Fern Creek High School. She embraced her journey through education with a bright smile and an infectious laughter that could brighten even the gloomiest of days. Those who worked beside her in the hospitality industry at Subway and Chili's appreciated her dedication and sense of humor, which made every shift feel like a joyful gathering.

Danaylee was more than just her roles; she was a lover of life. Her hobbies were as varied as her personality. From doting on her beloved dogs, Reese, Rocko, and Hydro, to spending afternoons cutting grass or drawing, she immersed herself in both work and play. Her favorite spot, Big Rock Park, served as a canvas for her long drives and tranquil walks, where she often found peace among the butterflies and flowers she adored. She had a flair for the colorful, with neon green and light purple capturing her joyful essence.

Affectionately nicknamed "Joe Dirt," Naylee's childhood mullet became a symbol of her fun-loving spirit. Family and friends uniquely experienced her humor and kindness; she nurtured those around her, often going above and beyond to care for her family. Her proudest accomplishment was the unwavering support she provided to her mom and dad, showcasing the depth of her love and compassion.

Naylee is survived by her loving father, George "Steven" Visser; sister, Alexis Visser; brother, Josh Thompson; niece, Lydia Thompson; nephew, Layton Thompson; great-aunt, Charlotte Goins; and her loyal furry companions, Reese, Rocko, and Hydro; aunts, uncles and cousins; special friend, Dawson: and a host of family and friends.

Naylee joins her beloved mother, Kathleen Visser; grandfather, George C. Visser; grandmother, Carolyn Ann Visser; grandfathers, Frank M. Stewart and George C. Visser; grandmothers, Kathleen E. Feldhaus Stewart; and uncle, Billy Visser.

A visitation to celebrate Naylee's life will be held on March 19, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM. Danaylee will then be laid to rest at Valley Cemetery, Taylorsville, at 2:30 PM.

Though her time with us was far too brief, Naylee's vibrant spirit, warm laughter, and nurturing heart will remain etched in the memories of all who loved her. Her legacy of kindness and joy will inspire us to carry forward her light, a testament to the beautiful life she lived.
