Dallas Ray Richards

Dallas Ray Richards, 91, a longtime resident of southern Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025. Born on December 5, 1933, in Harrison County, Indiana, he was the son of Cordie and Hallie (Beanblossom) Richards. He enjoyed watching all sports, was an avid fan of the Indiana Hoosiers and had been an active member of Northside Christian Church. 

Dallas was a devoted husband to his late wife, Jane (Martin) Richards, with whom he shared 71 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished family memories.

He is survived by his children: Mike Richards (Cindy), Marianne Callahan (James), Melinda Richards, and Martin Richards. His legacy is also carried on through nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A visitation to honor Dallas' life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, located at 3309 Ballard Lane in New Albany. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Dallas will be laid to rest privately at Palmyra Cemetery.
