Daisray White, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed unexpectedly on August 10, 2026, in Clarksville, IN. Born on November 17, 1989, in New Albany, IN, Daisray filled her 36 years with a radiant compassion and a steadfast devotion to her family, friends, and community.
From her earliest days, Daisray embodied kindness and empathy—a spirit evident to all who knew her. She attended classes at Jeffersonville High School, laying the groundwork for a life built on connection, curiosity, and care for others. Whether through laughter-filled family gatherings or quiet moments spent listening, Daisray was always present for those around her, exuding a warmth that could brighten any room.
Her heart led her to the service industry, where she worked for numerous years, touching countless lives throughout the Kentuckiana region. It was not only through her work that Daisray made a difference—her true calling was found in giving back. Daisray volunteered selflessly at the Token Club and the local soup kitchens, especially on Sundays, nourishing spirits as well as bodies. Her generosity extended also to her involvement with the church, where she helped feed the homeless, always striving to bring hope and comfort to anyone in need.
Daisray found joy in the great outdoors. She thrived on hiking adventures, camping trips, and days spent by the water with a fishing pole in hand. Her creative energy was boundless; art and tattoos gave her a way to express herself, and she shared her creativity freely. But of all her passions, spending time with family was her greatest joy. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Autumn Growe—her love and pride unmistakable to everyone who knew them.
Those who loved Daisray will remember her as a devoted mother, a compassionate daughter, a loving sister, and a loyal friend. She was known for her hard work, honesty, and her devotion to the people around her. Every act of kindness, every warm embrace, was rooted in her deep care for others.
Daisray leaves behind her cherished daughter, Autumn Growe (Autumn's father, Steve Growe); her loving parents, Daniel White (Barbie) and Lowella Hood (Charles); her siblings, Daniel White (Kelly), Destiny White, Kimberly Anderson, and Charles Hood; her treasured niece, Avalynn Davis; and nephews Bryson Anderson, Kyler Everett, Corey Price, and Bronley Price. Each one carries forward her legacy of love and compassion.
The loss of Daisray White reverberates deeply for all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy is imprinted in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many lives she touched through her service and kindness. May her memory be an inspiration—a reminder of how courage, compassion, and love can make the world a better place.
A memorial gathering and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
