Cynthia Sue(Vertrees) Flowers, 59, of New Albany, Indiana was called home on Saturday, May 30, 2015. She was born on January 15, 1956 in Louisville, KY to Donald and Doris Vertrees(Ralston). Cynthia worked as a traffic controller for the Louisville Metro Police Department for many years. She enjoyed making jewelry and spending time with her family and friends.
Along with her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her sister, Tina Vertrees. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Flowers of 31 years; her daughter, Sandra Smith(Timothy); brother, Donald Vertrees Jr., and grandchild, Michael Smith.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 11 AM with cremation to follow.
