Curtiss Lamonte Leslie

Curtiss LaMonte Leslie, 53, passed away on June 1, 2021. He was born to the late John and Pinkie Leslie on September 24, 1967, in Louisville, KY. Curtiss was on the wrestling team at Central High School where he graduated. He was always there for anyone who needed his help doing handy work and he had a heart of gold. Curtiss never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Cooksey, Ronald Cooksey and Anthony Cooksey; sister, JoAnn Thompson; grandmother, Matilda Knowles; nephew, Robert Scott, Jr. and his special friend, Mona Foster.

Curtiss leaves to cherish his memories, grandchildren, Kaveon Warr, Ke'Arise Warr, Kylieyah Warr and Ce'Anna Warr; siblings, Robert Scott, Sr, Arthur Scott, Sr, Larry Leslie, Gwendolyn (Frank Bartee) Cooksey, Michael Cooksey, Jerome Cooksey and Angela (Reginald) Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; his second mother, Mary Foster and best friend, Jay Johnson.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Ekklesia Christian Life Ministries, 1401 Bluegrass Avenue, Louisville, KY, from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Curtiss' life beginning at 1pm.

Burial will follow at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY,
